ISPOD BINE SEASON // Marko Ivić: Reflective Music

Friday, February 19 at 8 pm in the Beton kino of the Split Youth Home

After five years of presenting the latest Croatian and foreign trends in sound art as a part of the ISPOD BINE, sound art festival, we have decided to expand the program to the whole year, and bring you the most interesting sound artists through concerts, exhibitions, workshops and lectures on sound art throughout the year within the program ISPOD BINE SEASON!

Reflective Music is an act of improvised music (piano and live electronics) based on minimal electroacoustic music. It is an experience where music becomes a spatial manifestation that invites us to be with ourselves; to stop, to engage with our intimate process of reflection. Contrary to a usual musical event, the audience can sit or lay down comfortably and is invited to experience the music in their own way: sleeping, listening, meditating, writing, drawing, its all possible.

Marko is a Venezuelan / Croatian artist, a multidisciplinary performer and composer based in Amsterdam. His work revolves around the exploration of the possibilities of the piano with the use of live electronics and the use of the body in the context of physical performance. He graduated from Zagreb Music Academy and later did a master in Live Electronics at the Amsterdam Music Conservatory.
