After seven years as a club night built around sound system culture and UK bass, Pneumatika has joined forces with Mavena, Split-based cultural organisation behind a decade of ISPOD BINE, sound art festival, and is launching as a full year-round programme. The first event brings one of the original architects of the UK bass continuum, direct from Bristol: Addison Groove!

LEAD ARTIST

Tony Williams has been operating at the intersection of UK bass lineages since 2006 — first as Headhunter during dubstep’s formative years on Tempa, then as Addison Groove from 2010, when his debut on Loefah’s Swamp 81 introduced Chicago juke and footwork to UK dancefloors. As cited in The Quietus, Williams was instrumental in building that bridge — a connection sealed by direct collaboration with DJ Rashad on Double Cup (Hyperdub, 2013), the record that brought footwork to a global audience.

What followed was a catalogue that refused genre fixity: 50 Weapons, Pinch’s Tectonic, Hessle Audio, Pretty Weird, Exit, Worst Behaviour, Dance Trax, Gutterfunk — techno, electro, jungle, acid, none of it contained. Fabric, Berghain, Glastonbury, Boiler Room. Red Bull Music Academy lecturer. Collaborator with Sam Binga and DJ Die. Through all of it, the physical logic stayed fixed: stripped percussion, sub-bass pressure, broken rhythms that register in the body before the mind catches up. Music made for sound systems. That is exactly what Prevara Sound System delivers.

THE EVENT

Prevara Sound System — a custom-built system calibrated for low-frequency precision — is not infrastructure but a medium. An instrument that shapes space. The Pneumatika night doesn’t use it; it happens through it. For Addison Groove’s set, it is not a framework — it’s a condition.

Opens Mokosh (Antonia Topić) — founder of Pneumatika, resident at Klub Kocka. Dubstep, bass, techno, house, broken beat. Builds the room — frequency by frequency, layer by layer.

Closes Giljo (Karlo) — DJ and producer from the Split area. A path from trap, through DJ Assault and DJ Rashad, into footwork, acid, jungle, house and bass. Instinct shaped through obsessive listening.

New generation. Same basement.

THE PLATFORM

Artistic direction by Antonia Topić (Mokosh). Produced by Mavena — 36 njezinih čuda, in partnership with Koalicija udruga mladih (KUM) at Klub Kocka.
